Cape Fear Valley to hold COVID-19 live town hall meeting on Facebook

Back by popular demand, Cape Fear Valley CEO Mike Nagowski will hold another live Facebook community townhall to answer questions about COVID-19 and its effect on the community.

The question-and-answer session will air during the Making Rounds Live radio show on Tuesday, May 26 from 11 a.m. to noon. Viewers can watch and submit their questions on Cape Fear Valley Health’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/capefearvalley.

Topics of discussion will include Cape Fear Valley’s updated visitor restrictions for the ED and elective surgeries. Nagowski will be joined by Michael Zappa, M.D., Cape Fear Valley Associate Chief Medical Officer for Acute Care and Emergency Services, and Dr. Jennifer Green, Director of Cumberland County Department of Health.

All three will discuss how the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting the community and efforts to treat those infected with the potentially deadly virus.

To date, 5 million people worldwide have tested positive for the disease with nearly 350,000 dead, the hospital system said in a statement.
