 Cassandra Whatley announces the engagement of her daughter Ashlyn Johnson of Atlanta to Justin McAllister of McDonough, Georgia.

The prospective bride’s grandparents are the late Rose and Leroy Johnson of Shellman, Georgia and the late Virginia and Robert Shelton of Atlanta. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of West Georgia and a masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Kennesaw State University. She is a medical social worker at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. 

The prospective groom’s grandparents are Russell and Annie Mae McAllister and the late Mallie and Carrie Ross of Raeford. He graduated with a bachelors degree in Criminology from the University of West Georgia.  He is a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

A July 10 wedding is planned for Pristine Chapel in Jonesboro, Georgia.
