The Open Door Soup Kitchen and Noonday Kitchen are helping feed the hungry in Hoke with food giveaways.

The Open Door Soup Kitchen will hold a free food pantry giveaway July 10 beginning at 2 p.m. until supplies are out. The giveaway will be at C.R. Scrubs, located at 4103 Fayetteville Road. The rain date is July 17. Open Door Soup Kitchen and State Rep. Garland Pierce are sponsoring the event.

Nonprofit Noonday Kitchen, based out of Fayetteville, is also planning to give away 1,000 boxes of food to help feed families in Hoke County.

The distribution on July 17 will give away boxes of fresh produce. The giveaway is provided by a partnership with the USDA Farm to Family program.

The event is first-come, first-served, with a time and location still to be announced. The time and location will be made available on hokenews.com once the organization determines it.
