More details on hybrid school schedule, sign-ups for online instruction open through July 27

Hoke County Schools plans to use a hybrid school schedule when students return to class next month, but families can choose to keep their child at home and enroll them in an online-only remote learning academy provided by the school system.

Students who enroll in the hybrid schedule will be split into two groups and attend in-person classes two days a week, with online-only instruction the other three days. Reportedly, families with multiple children attending school will have their children placed on the same schedule.

Hoke County High School posted its hybrid learning schedule for the fall with more details:

*A days (Monday/Wednesday) will be students with last names A – K
*B days (Tuesday/Thursday) will be students with last names L – Z
*Friday will be remote learning for everyone.
*Students will be expected to work on lessons on their ‘off’ days.
*Students with siblings in elementary/middle school will be on A days.

Students will be required to wear a mask, have their temperature checked every day and must practice social distancing. Breakfast and lunch will be served and eaten in classrooms, according to the high school. Classrooms will be cleaned twice a day. (See the Facebook post here.)

There will be a virtual open house August 3. Students on the “A” schedule will start back to school August 17. Students on the “B” schedule will start back to school August 18.
