Hoke County non-profits have been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Hoke County has been chosen to receive $ 21,323 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
In addition to Phase 37, Hoke County has been awarded $30,270 through the US$2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide the health care resources needed to fight COVID-19. Phase 37 and Phase CARES EFSP are two separate applications. 

The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 5 p.m. The application must be signed and emailed with attachments to:tmunn@unitedwayrobeson.org
The Local Board will determine how funds are awarded and distributed among local service agencies providing emergency food and shelter programs in Hoke County.  The Local Board is responsible for recommending agencies to receive these funds and any additional funds made available under this phase(s) of the program.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local agencies that are chosen to receive funds must:   1) be private voluntary non-profits, faith-based or local units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if they are a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board.  Qualifying agencies are urged to apply.
