Investigators with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man wanted on charges of harboring a person who reportedly fled from arrest after firing gunshots at law enforcement.

Deputies arrested Enrico P. Leggett, 41, of the 1500 block of Pope Street in Raeford on one felony count of harboring an escapee. Authorities took Leggett into custody January 15. He was held under a $50,000 unsecured bond.

Leggett is accused of allegedly harboring Cortevin Shaw, who has since been arrested on multiple charges including attempted murder after Shaw fled from deputies attempting to serve warrants on him. Shaw fired gunshots at a deputy as he tried to escape arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies located Shaw at Leggett’s house and arrested Shaw December 23.  The charge against Leggett was announced last week.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time, according to the sheriff’s office.
