Puppy Creek and Hillcrest Fire Departments will host a donation drive supported by all the local fire stations in the Hoke County area to collect school supplies for children.

Firefighters will be out at Walmart located at 4545 Fayetteville Road Saturday, July 24 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with boxes to collect donations of school supplies. Shoppers can purchase school supplies in Walmart and drop off the donations on their way out of the store in the provided collection boxes.

There will also be fire equipment on display at Walmart during the donation drive, and firefighters will be available to do child car seat inspections and offer help with correctly installing the seats in parents’ vehicles.
