The Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce will hold a concert featuring The Sand Band Thursday, August 26 at the 211 Sports Complex. Gates open at 6:15 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m.

The Chamber is busy planning the “End of Summer & School Kick Off Concert” to offer a fun evening of entertainment.

“This event is free to the public as a way to bring the community back together once more since the beginning of the pandemic. We are asking all of the local businesses to get behind this as we hope to make it an annual event,” Daphne Dudley said in an email to Chamber members.

The Sand Band is a local favorite beach music group. The event will feature food trucks as well as live music. There will also be a raffle for people who receive their COVID-19 vaccination with Dr. Karen Smith.

“We hope this will encourage those who have not gotten the vaccination to come out and get vaccinated,” the announcement stated.
