Hoke County Schools is inviting Hoke County families to a Back to School Bash from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at East Hoke Middle School, 4702 Fayetteville Road.

The event promises to be a fun one with carnival games and food. Hoke County students can pick up a free clear backpack for the new school year filled with school supplies. Hoke County families will have the opportunity to meet the administrations of their schools. There will also be a number of informational booths for various organizations and programs. Free hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for participants at the event.

Students can also receive immunizations provided by the Hoke County Health Department and get their sports physicals provided by Goshen Medical.

The event is a community effort, and Hoke County Schools is grateful for the support and work of all of the volunteers. This week, volunteers and donors also helped “Stuff the Bus” with school supply donations at the Walmart parking lot.

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of our sponsors and volunteers who have stepped up to make the Back to School Bash possible,” said Dr. Kenneth Spells, Superintendent of Hoke County Schools. “Their generosity and dedication help ensure that Hoke County students start the year prepared and ready to learn. It truly takes all of us—working together as one Hoke County team—to support our students and help build brighter futures for every child in our community.”

This event has been made possible through the support of numerous contributors. Hoke County Schools also thanks the many volunteers who have worked to make sure the school supplies are ready for Hoke County students.
