Bojangles employee in Raeford tests positive for COVID-19

An employee at the Bojangles restaurant in Raeford has tested positive for COVID-19, the company said Friday in a press release.

The employee last worked in the restaurant Wednesday, April 22. The person is self-isolating at home.

The company learned Friday of the employee’s COVID-19 diagnosis, a press statement said.  The company immediately closed the restaurant on Fayetteville Road to deep clean and sanitize it. Bojangles is working with a third party for professional disinfecting, the business said.

The company said it notified employees and state health officials.

“The restaurant will reopen once all precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the well-being of team members and guests. All team members will be paid while the restaurant is closed,” the business said in a statement.
