The North Carolina Fall Festival is returning to Hoke County this year with a golf tournament, Senior Day, the Turkey Bowl football game and the annual street fair in downtown Raeford.
Golfers can now sign up to participate in the First Annual Marvin Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament as part of the upcoming 2021 North Carolina Fall Festival events.
The golf tournament, honoring the late poultry pioneer Johnson, is set for October 9-10 at Deercroft Golf Club in Wagram.
The entry fee per person is $150. The entry fee covers the cost of a golf cart, green fees, breakfast and lunch, beer, beverages, snacks, door prizes and tournament prizes.
Golf hole sponsorships are available. The registration deadline for the First Annual Marvin Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament is October 1.
The other events slated for this year include the Melissa Kaye Senior Day, named for the Festival’s late executive director, Melissa Kaye Pittman. The day will offer lunch, bingo and door prizes free to the first 100 senior citizens who sign up. The event will be held Wednesday, October 13 in the Robert A. Wright Agricultural Building.
The Turkey Bowl football game will also be the same night as Senior Night and Homecoming for Hoke County High School. The All-American Veterans Team skydiving will jump in to kick off the evening. Tickets are available for sale in advance to see the Bucks battle for the Turkey Bowl trophy.
The famous Fall Festival street fair is set for Saturday, October 16 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with live music and other entertainment. Vendors, food trucks, arts and crafts and COVID-19 vaccines will all be on offer at the event. The street fair will be held on Main Street in Raeford.
Signup forms are available online through the Fall Festival’s Facebook page, or at the office located at 101 North Main Street in downtown Raeford.
