Hoke County will ring in the season next Friday, December 6 with Hometown Christmas.
The annual free event organized by the Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce will be from 5:30-8 p.m. on Main Street in Raeford. Main Street will be closed off to traffic while downtown businesses keep their doors open into the evening for patrons to see what local shops have to offer. Dozens of Chamber members and other businesses and organizations will have tables set up with free goodies and information along Main Street. Downtown restaurants and food trucks will be set up to sell refreshments at the event.
The evening will kick off with a Christmas tree lighting at City Hall. There will be visits and photo opportunities with Santa, and live entertainment at the stage next to the Hoke County Public Library provided by local schools.
Parking is available along side streets and at the city’s parking lot by the post office building.
